Every summer since I was a child, I’ve visited the same place in Italy: a town called Grottammare in the Marche region, where my grandparents originally came from. Growing up, I found it pretty boring because there wasn’t much to do, and the local lifestyle felt slow and monotonous.

Recently, on my first solo trip there, I began to appreciate the beauty of the people and their way of life. Through these pictures, I aimed to capture the charm of the simple things and everyday moments that make this area of Italy so unique to me. I wanted to convey a mix of minimalistic shots, both color and black-and-white images, landscapes, and people, all imbued with a nostalgic feeling.
